It sounds like you're having issues getting connected to your VPN on your MacBook Pro. To get started, you'll want to ensure that you Set up a VPN connection on Mac properly.

No doubt you tagged me because of the thread I had about KB4056894 that were solved with a profile XML. Based on the error you sent above, I'm not sure that this is the same issue. But if you want to try the XML fix that I used way back when, here's what I did:

  1. Open your profile XML in the Profile Editor (or use the Profile Editor to create a new one if you're not currently using a profile XML)
  2. Go to the 'Preferences (Part 2) section and set 'Proxy Settings' to 'IgnoreProxy'
  3. Go to the 'Server List' section and add your ASA's name and FQDN/IP.
  4. Save the modified profile somewhere
  5. Either upload this profile to your ASA via ASDM so that it's automatically distributed, or manually place it at 'C:ProgramDataCiscoCisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility ClientProfile' on the client machines

Hope that helps! If not, try removing recent updates and start reinstalling them one-by-one to see exactly which one(s) cause the problem.
